At D Sophia’s Family Services, our mission is to promote heart health and overall wellness through education, advocacy, and compassionate outreach. Founded by cardiac arrest survivor Deanna Sophia Perdue, we are committed to raising awareness about the warning signs of heart conditions and strokes, providing resources for early detection and prevention, and inspiring communities to take charge of their health—one heartbeat at a time.
At D Sophia's Family Services, we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for homeless individuals in our community. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home and we work tirelessly to make that a reality.
At D Sophia’s Family Services, our impact is measured in lives touched, youth empowered, and communities made safer through heart health education. What began as one courageous teen’s recovery journey has grown into a movement that empowers others with the knowledge that saved her life.
Since our founding, we’ve:
At just 16 years old, Deanna Sophia Perdue is a courageous survivor, compassionate leader, and determined changemaker. Recently crowned Miss Saint Cloud Florida Teen USA, Deanna shines both on and off the stage—as a scholar, athlete, runway model, and passionate health advocate.
Her life changed forever when she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, a rare and terrifying event for someone so young. Thanks to swift medical intervention, Deanna survived. However, she was later diagnosed with Idiopathic Ventricular Fibrillation (IVF)—a life-threatening heart condition with no known cause. Just three weeks ago, she underwent surgery to receive an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), a device that monitors her heart and delivers lifesaving shocks if needed.
Instead of being defined by her diagnosis, Deanna chose to define her future with purpose. She founded D Sophia’s Family Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about heart health, stroke symptoms, and cardiac arrest—especially among youth athletes and underserved communities. Her mission is to empower others with the knowledge that ultimately saved her life.
As a Local Youth Heart Ambassador for the American Heart Association and a student ambassador for St. Cloud High School in Osceola County, Deanna uses her voice to educate her peers and the broader community on the warning signs of heart conditions, advocate for screenings and emergency preparedness in schools and athletic programs, and share a message of strength and hope.
Now, just weeks after her surgery, Deanna is preparing to take the stage at Miss Florida Teen USA. Her goal is to expand her reach, earn the state title, and use her platform to make an even greater impact—visiting schools and communities throughout Florida with appearances and speaking engagements that save lives and inspire change.
Through every step of her journey, Deanna remains committed to saving lives, one heart at a time.
We love our community, so feel free to reach out anytime.
